Introduction of VELANAUST

The company VELANAUST is owned by GEYMSLUSVÆDID Ltd., a strong investment and outdoor storage company for construction equipment and building material for contractors, and VELRAS Ltd., which has manly been operating as a service company for construction machinery of all kinds, cranes, trucks, trailers and truck mounted concrete pumps. VELRAS is actually one of the biggest independent workshops for the construction market in Iceland.

The companies are well located in the industrial area of Hafnarfjordur, outskirt of the Reykjavik area.

The company is located at the same premises as VELRAS which has 1300 m² workshop, well equipped for service of construction machinery, also good and spacious outdoor area. Additionally VELRAS has now opened its second workshop which is 500 m² and well located in the industrial area of Reykjavik. The company has 6 service cars, 3 of them are equipped as workshops, 2 smaller for electricians and one truck with a crane.

VELRAS have now in their team 15 skilled and well-trained mechanics and electricians.

General Manager and one of three owners of VELANAUST is Mr. Asgeir Thordarson, which has over 25 year experience in the construction machinery business, thereof 1997 - 2007 as a Sales Manager for O&K and then New Holland Construction machines and also all products from the Wirtgen Group.
